The residence was designed for the architect’s own use, pursuing a purity of form and expression of structure and materials. The entire structure is cast in concrete, with a smooth finish outside and in. Floor and ceilings are also in concrete. Variety is introduced in the different textures of the concrete (boarded, panelled). The warm tones and colour of furniture, fittings, the garden and deck contrast the concrete beautifully. The Residence was nominated for the Republic of Cyprus Presidents award in Architecture.
