We teamed up with Alpha Ioannou Constructions and a team of select engineers to deliver the additional building to the Paphos District Court. The new building relates to the existing court by contrasting its contemporary form with the formal, symmetrical language of its neighbour. An external covered bridge connects the two buildings, suspended above the ground, providing a sheltered passage between the two. The front of the building faces the main road and creates an impressive entrance with a double-height foyer, and a sculptural stair that acts as a centrepiece. The architecture focuses on filtering the light that enters the building and shading the glass. An external wall facing the main road is perforated with square openings to an impressive effect. The foyer is lit with shafts of light through this wall.
