We were contacted by a Middle Eastern client who asked us to design an office building for his company, to meet their accommodation and operating needs, as well as local regulations. The proposal is for a high tech building of steel and glass that provides high quality, flexible office spaces, whilst responding to the local climate. The proposed 4-storey building has a flexible layout, and a glass facade with extensive shading that is necessary due to the harsh climate of the region. The modular glass facade system envelops the entire building, with integrated insulation. The shading louvres help articulate the facade. The proposed design makes use of a central atrium to allow greater access to natural light and limit the depth of the plan. Two basement levels will provide all the necessary parking and ample space for services.
