Our aim was to accommodate the same materiality as the iconic houses and schools of paphos old town, reflecting its location at the entrance to this historic area. The aim was to create a contemporary building that feels connected to its surroundings while respecting the character of the existing architecture.

As a taller building within a predominantly low-rise context, particular attention was given to reducing its visual impact and ensuring that it blends naturally with the surrounding buildings and roofscape. Rather than appearing as a single imposing volume, the façade is articulated through a series of horizontal bands that break down its verticality. This gives the building a more human scale, softens its overall mass, and helps it integrate more comfortably into the urban fabric of Paphos Old Town.
