The project is an office addition to the contractor’s storage facilities. With a streamlined layout and an almost fully glazed facade, the interior becomes open and light. A bespoke system of louvers controls solar gains on the glass. The project was done mostly in dry construction and was completed in a period of 36 weeks.  The metal louvers were necessary to control the sun hitting the west-facing glass facade. We developed the design with the contractor (who is also the client) to offer a unique solution. The louvers are actually perforated aluminium panels, hinged at the centre. Electric motors rotate the panels to any position between open and closed, creating a striking dynamic facade.
